“Emma”

I think this is the first post-mortem pet portrait I’ve done so far. It’s sad to know that this animal I’ve become so attached to as I drew her is no longer with us, but I’m thrilled at the thought that perhaps her memory will live on a little stronger in her owners’ hearts because of my art.

I didn’t take as many progress pictures as I would have liked to. Oh well. Next time…

By the way, something funny about this picture is that the original I was given has Emma sticking her tongue out. The person who commissioned her really wanted to edit her tongue out. Seems like it would be easy, but it actually took me a little finagling to figure out exactly how her bottom lip should look! 🙂 Hopefully you would never even notice.

Take care, my friends.
