It sure has been an awfully long time since my last post, but I haven’t been doing nothing while I’ve been away (please pardon the double negative). Since my last post, I’ve been working really hard on getting a paid WordPress site up and running, I’ve changed houses, quit my day-job, and… well, something else I’ll update on later. It truly feels SO great to be able to stay home and get art work done that I had only been dreaming about doing during my after-work naps. When you go into work at 3 am and get off at 1, the only good use of the rest of the day is eating and sleeping. So… yeah. Life’s been a little cray-zee, but it’s wonderful.
The new website is (appropriately) gracelinearts.com, of course built through WordPress. I’d love to do more with it, but it’s a struggle for me. I’ve never been very web-savvy,. so it takes a lot for me to catch the lingo. But thankfully, the new site is really only meant to be an archive and a sales venue, so once I get my PayPal links figured out, I think it should be fairly self-sufficient.
But I don’t want to forget about this blogging side. It’s definitely great to be able to write more about my upcoming pieces and share some of the process with you all, like this one:
Obviously, this is a SUPER rough sketch, but it’s something I doodled at work a while back, and I really want to see it through to a finished product. I think the baby bunny is totally adorable. I have some work to do on reshaping and restructuring, but it’s not a bad start. I’ll be sure to post updates, if not just the finished piece.
Thanks for hanging in there with me, guys, and keeping the love comin’! God bless!
